I just read Robert Scoble’s manifesto at Change This. Great piece about the why’s and how’s of blogging. Good work. This prompted me to go to his site to see more on his blog. This all led me to some fascinating new developments on Chris Pirillo’s site. Podcasting could very well be the new platform for getting the message out, particularly to the Gen X audience who are much more about individual choice and therefore leaving television in droves.
Storytelling is a tradition that holds us together. When we tell stories to our kids, those stories become like glue that cements us together. Telling stories reminds us of our past and reinforces our values, the things we hold as precious and true.
A Long Ride Home is exactly that kind of story. The book is about Billy Christian, who was abandoned by his parents and raised by his grandpa on the farm. I agree. I just podcast enabled my church’s web site and plan on doing a podcast soon that talks authentically about one man’s walk with God (mine).

The religion category of the ipodder directory (the name makes me cringe but it’s the only category) is fairly vacant now, but growing fast.
