Eowyn nails it!!

I was watching the second film in the Lord of the Rings
trilogy, “The Two Towers” last night with my boys.

I was struck by a short conversation between Eowyn and
Aragorn. She tells him, “I fear neither death nor pain.” Aragorn asks her, “What
do you fear my lady?”

Now listen closely to her response…

“A cage. To stay behind bars until use and old age accept
them. And all chance of valor has gone beyond recall or desire.”

Wow. I’ve felt the cold bars of that cage before and I never
want to feel that kind of entrapment again. Eowyn’s words…”to stay behind bars
until use and old age accept them” are particularly damning to me. What is it
that I need to do today to either get out the cage or keep from going in one?
