I looked up the word delight in the dictionary and here's what it said, "a high degree of pleasure or enjoyment; joy, rapture – something that gives great pleasure."
Although I agree with that, I think it's missing something. I think delight actually carries with it a measure of surprise. When the experience is more than you expected it to be you are delighted. You thought it would just be this, but it ends up being THIS. That's delight.
What is the delight quotient on the things you are working on? How hard are you working at delight? Whether you're preparing a meal or cleaning a room, writing a letter, taking a picture or planning an event; it's so easy to just do what's expected or even worse we can fall into the trap of "not doing it wrong" instead of doing it so right…it's delightful.
I think "delight" is a much better standard than "satisfied."
