The Washington Post today reports that Bill Gates says that broadcast television is facing irrelevancy because of the paradigm of channels and set broadcast schedules. No choices.
What does this news mean to ministries who are currently investing millions of dollars to grow their television ministries?
There’s no doubt that the medium is changing rapidly. To get too locked in to a given format or a given way of thinking could be dangerous, especially in the rapidly changing and expanding world of electronic media. Ministries have to keep their ear to the ground and their eye on the culture in order to ensure they don’t fall prey to irrelevancy.
